As we go into Lockdown 2, Milton Keynes Council has produced an important film about the impact on Milton Keynes. It emphasises the need for activity and the impact that young people have on the spread of the virus. Please watch this film. Apart from stunning photography, it is very enjoyable to watch, without detracting from the film’s message.

Although no Grants were awarded this month, it has given us the opportunity to look at our achievements in the last 10 years. In total, we have awarded £293.554 for Grants, Bursaries, Achiever Awards, Coaching and First Aid, Football and Safeguarding courses. Well done Sport Milton Keynes!

Five Grants awarded this month to Marshall MK Athletic Club (x 2), MK Bucks Korfball Club, Wolverton Tennis Club and MK Sailing Club.
Total awarded £2903.97.

U18 female MKDons Set/Netball Club

Three Grants awarded this month to Wolverton Park Bowls Club, MK Netters Netball Club and Redway School. Total of £2275.00.
In addition, a £300 Bursary to a talented bowler from Wolverton Park Bowls Club.
Total for the month £2575.50.

3 grants have been awarded this month to MK Distance Project, MK Basketball Club and Muirton Athletic Charitable Hub.
Total awarded £868.50

Five Grants have been awarded for July to Loughton Lodgers Badminton Club, MK Communities Hobbies Club, Lord Grey Academy, Oakgrove School and MK Springers Gymnastics. Total awarded £2588.97

Two Grants awarded this month to MK Bucks Korfball Club and MK Warriors Cricket Club. Total awarded £843.36.

Only one Grant this month. An award of £299 to Oakgrove School to help with the purchase of iPad/s for exclusive use in PE lessons.

Only one Grant this month to Bletchley Rugby Union Football Club. An award of £300 to help fund 20 x RFU 1st Aid Courses.

Four Grants have been awarded this month to Redway Runners, MK Springers, Leon Leisure Centre and Bushfield School. A total of £1778. In addition two Bursaries of £300 each were awarded to talented gymnasts from SNUGS. Total for the month £2378

Three Grants awarded this month to MK Water Polo Club, Haversham Sailing Club and Arabian School of Gymnastics. Total of £1206.40.
In addition a Bursary of £300 to a young talented player from MK Tennis Club. Total awarded for the month £1506.40.

At the meeting of Sport MK the following was approved for Achiever of the Month. U18 Female - MK Dons Set - Netball Club

Three Grants with a total of £1400 were awarded this month to Leon Leisure Centre, MK Warriors Cricket Club and Shenley and Loughton Toxophilists. In addition a Bursary of £300 was awarded to a very talented young badminton player from All Stars Elite Badminton Club.

One worth winner for the month of July was agreed at the committee meeting on Monday 2 September - a young man aged 9 years Sport Taekwondo. A very worthy nomination.
